This program of research explores how our lives, as we age, intersect not simply with changes in media platforms and ways of delivering online content, but with the world of valuable information and data that are being generated by these changes. This pilot study is mobilizing a combination of ethnographic methods, interviews, surveys, and arts-based activities to gather and trace older adults’ experiences and understandings of their data and, relatedly, their digital devices.
